The eyes are set with crystal solid Australian opals. When light catches them they ignite with an intense, otherworldly blue fire, giving Medusa a piercing, almost living gaze. Nestled in the open mouths of several of the writhing snakes are raw Boulder Opals — rough, natural stones that flash with vivid play-of-colour in blues, greens, oranges and reds. These untamed gems sit like captured treasures or venomous secrets within the serpents’ jaws. The entire head is finished in a deep, iridescent metallic glaze that shifts between charcoal, bronze and subtle oil-slick tones, enhancing the dramatic contrast with the glowing opals. Every snake is intricately detailed, creating a dense, living crown of serpents.
