Traditional double-breasted formal evening coat with six-button front, sharply cut satin peak lapels, cropped front and long satin-faced tails. Fully lined. The original Leader Bros tailor’s label is still present inside, with handwritten order details and what appears to be a 1938 date. Beautifully constructed period tailoring and a great example of pre-war formalwear. I’ve worn this as womenswear rather than traditional menswear. Good vintage condition for its age, with wear consistent with a garment approaching 90 years old. Please see photographs.
