This is an extraordinary colour story in a gown. Beginning with the palest blush and ivory through the structured sweetheart bodice, the colour deepens into warm coral and dusty rose before gradually dissolving into smoky plum and almost-black at the floor — a dramatic ombré effect that gives the dress completely different dimension as it moves. The strapless bodice is beautifully constructed, with a sweetheart neckline and layers of finely pleated chiffon sculpted across the bust. Contrasting coral draping crosses through the waist to create definition and an almost wrapped effect, while the softly gathered skirt falls from beneath into a long, fluid column of chiffon. The gradual darkening towards the hem gives the full-length silhouette a particularly striking finish without needing embellishment or sparkle. Inside, the bodice is structured and fully lined for support, with a concealed centre-back zip. It is the sort of gown that would work beautifully for a formal event, black-tie wedding, ball or special occasion — add delicate gold jewellery and barely-there heels and let the ombré colour do all the work.
