Stunning true vintage 1950s/1960s formal evening bag. Hand-beaded in Japan with premium black glass seed beads arranged in a gorgeous diamond-quilted pattern. Features a silver-tone kiss-lock frame and a fold-away top chain. Fully lined in black satin with an interior slip pocket. Flaw Disclosure (Please Read): This is an authentic mid-century piece with minor signs of age. It has a few missing beads on the back face and is missing one of the clear decorative jewels inside the top kiss-lock clasp. Both flaws are heavily camouflaged by the black-on-black design and are not noticeable when worn, but the price has been adjusted lower. Condition: Otherwise beautiful. The frame clicks shut securely, and the satin interior lining is clean. Stamped "Made in Japan" on the internal fabric tag.
