DD Style notes- Extremely collectable Vintage Tissavel Faux fur coat. Labeled a size L-18 however it would be a great fit for a 14-16 lady. I'm a size 12 and its a bit broad in the shoulder for me- but also looks great worn a bit oversized too-especially if wearing over your woolens. The faux fur is a rich honey brown shade which glows a bit beige in different lights and is, crafted with a high-quality acrylic pile that mimics the look and feel of genuine mink. This mid-length coat features a classic notched lapel, vertical pelt-like construction, and a smooth satin lining for comfortable layering. Made in Australia with French faux fur manufactured by Tissavel. This lovely coat offers a timeless aesthetic perfect for winter styling or formal events. I especially like how it has no collar making it a more versatile styling piece. It also has side pockets. The heavy-duty pile is designed to be treated and cleaned like real fur, ensuring a luxurious texture and warmth and means this jacket in in fantastic condition despite being a vintage garment. There are some scratches and marks to the inner Satin fabric which is a beautiful Champagne colour -please see images. History of Tissavel- Founded in France in 1953, over the years Tissavel successfully established itself as one of the most prestigious faux fur manufactures in the world. Owing to the production of a top grade mink imitation, so exquisite that the difference is almost indistinguishable to all but the expert. This coat is in fantastic condition, so soft to touch and is an enviable vintage garment so on trend for winter 2026!!!!
