These shoes have been modified i.e. straps cut at the back and they have an extra hole punched for ease and comfort and to change the style of the shoes to slides (so some of the velcro is visible). Please note - they are super stylish but weren't the most comfy on my feet (I have quite big feet so the leather rubbed against the top of my foot), however, these might feel more comfortable on different feet.
