- ‘Parachute’ dress/skirt from iconic NZ designer Doris de Pont - Rare and collectable (Doris de Pont pieces are held in various collections around NZ, including at Te Papa) - Vibrant grass green colour - Satin finish with a subtle houndstooth pattern that catches the light - Can be worn in various ways: As a dress with straps, as a strapless dress with the straps hanging down (as per photo 4), or as a skirt - There are two belt loops so you can experiment with the hanging ties, or you can add a belt (it would also be easy to remove the belt loops if preferred) - The elastic across the chest/waist has a good amount of stretch so this is comfortable to wear - In almost-perfect condition – see note below - Size 12 on the label. I think it’s true to size, but it may suit a 10 too. Please check the measurements below. - Made in New Zealand Condition: There’s a tiny, safety-pin sized hole above one of the belt loops (see photo 6) but you’d never notice it. Because of the type of fabric it’s unlikely to spread (it was there when I bought it). Otherwise the condition is perfect. I bought this from a designer consignment store, but it would have cost hundreds when new. Measurements taken when laid flat: Elastic – chest or waist: 39cm (stretches out to approx. 52cm) Length including straps: 116cm Length excluding straps: 92cm
