Hi! I think they would honestly work well on a 12 or 14. They are designed to be relaxed and have an elasticated waist. When I brought them I also tried a 14 in store and could have worn those too but the 12 were just a bit less baggy in the crotch on me so went with them! The sizing is quite flexible on this style in my experience x
