- Vintage trouser suit from American designer Adrianna Papell (from her Papell Petites range) - 100% silk - Dusky blue colour - Blazer is buttonless - Trousers are high waisted and flat-fronted with a bit of elastic at the back for comfort - Very good condition with one minor issue – see details below - Jacket is a US size 4 (NZ 8) and the trousers are a US size 6 (NZ 10), but the trousers are on the small side, so I think both pieces are best on a size 8. Please check the measurements below. This is made of silk dupion, so it has natural variations in the weave of the fabric that look like fine raised lines in some areas (see photos). There’s also a subtle crushed finish to the fabric. Very good condition. The only sign of wear is a pull across one thigh (see photo 6). This isn’t too obvious as it looks a lot like one of the natural variations in the silk, which you can see in the photo too. Both pieces are fully lined (except the arms of the blazer), and the quality is great. I’m 170cm tall and both the jacket and the trousers are slightly cropped on me (which looks intentional). Because this is from the ‘Petites’ range, it’s probably designed to be a full length suit on a petite frame. This looks great with a dress or tunic for a slightly more casual look. The silk tunic shown in the last photo is also available.
