Discovered on a winter trip through the Marais district in Paris, this vibrant cerise pink jumper was a boutique splurge — and worth every cent. I purchased it from Atelier Léonie, a tiny knitwear atelier tucked just off Rue de Turenne, known for its handcrafted mohair and wool creations. Made from a thick mohair-wool blend, the texture is luxuriously soft, plush, and high-pile, with that unmistakable fuzzy halo that only natural fibres deliver. The colour — a saturated cerise pink — is bold, striking, and rarely found in this quality of knitwear. The silhouette is both bold and wearable: a deep V-neck, structured ribbed cuffs and hem, and a slightly cropped cut that adds shape without bulk. The high-gauge knit construction creates subtle volume, making it feel like you’re wrapped in warmth without any heaviness. - Fabric: Mohair-wool blend (no tag, but confirmed by fibre quality and feel) - Condition: Excellent – no damage, no pilling - Size Range: Best fits NZ 8–12 depending on desired fit - Care: Dry clean recommended, or cold hand wash with wool shampoo There’s no brand or care label — not unusual for boutique hand-knits — but this was a $720 purchase in-store. Sadly, cerise isn’t my colour, so it’s time to let it go. A one-of-a-kind statement piece for someone who loves bold colour, luxury texture, and authentic Parisian provenance.
