Selling lots of bags that I no longer reach for. Unique and rare vintage piece made in New Zealand by EX 23. Rare vintage leather satchel by EX23, a cult New Zealand label founded in Wellington in 1985 by designer Simon Manchester. Known for its post-punk aesthetic and architectural forms, EX23 pieces were handcrafted using hard leathers and minimal stiffeners, resulting in sculptural, unisex designs. This triangle-shaped satchel features a magnetic flap closure, chunky top handle, and raw leather lining under the flap. EX23 bags were stocked by iconic NZ fashion houses like Zambesi and are now part of the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa’s permanent collection. This piece is a rare example of local design history and a must-have for collectors of vintage New Zealand fashion.
