A rare find for vintage lovers and collectors, this stunning coat by Alexon dates to the late 1980s–early 1990s and was proudly made in New Zealand, making it even more special. Alexon was a British heritage label known for its elevated tailoring, premium fabric blends, and timeless outerwear. Pieces made under the Alexon label in NZ are now seldom seen, especially in this luxurious mohair-wool blend. Crafted from a rich mix of 49% mohair and 49% wool, the coat has a soft, fluffy brushed texture that feels as beautiful as it looks. In a versatile deep moss green (it's actually very hard to capture the gorgeous colour!) it features a clean, collarless neckline, full lining, and relaxed silhouette with dropped shoulders and front pockets, perfect for layering and effortlessly chic styling. This coat combines heritage craftsmanship with fashion-forward texture, think Scandi minimalism meets 90s drama. Measurements: Size on tag: 14 (vintage sizing – best fits modern NZ 10, 12 or 14). The mannequin wears my size (10-12 at 180cm tall) and on me it’s oversized in the best way and with a belt it looks great as the coat construction isn’t too thick and it lays flat nicely without bulk due to great tailoring. Size & Fit: Relaxed and slightly oversized. Looks amazing worn open or belted. Works across a range of sizes depending on styling preference. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Minor natural fuzzing from the mohair content. No visible marks, shoulder pads were removed which left the top shoulder seam on the inside of one armhole open uber this isn’t near where you insert your arm, so it’s up to you whether you think it needs mending. Clean and ready to wear.
