1990s Vintage JPG Jean’s Jean Paul Gaultier Low Rise Shorts

Really cool vintage Jean Paul Gaultier low rise denim shorts with cut-outs at the hips where the front pockets would be and fraying hems. Logo tag on the side seam and centre back as well as cool logo button. I’m not sure if they were originally jeans or if they came as cut offs, quite hard to tell but I’m leaning towards that they came like this. I can’t find this exact pair anywhere online but have seen other ones with cutouts at the back yoke or seperate detached waistbands that have the same tags and are from around the same late 90s era, and which are selling for between $250 and $500 NZD. Made in Italy by JPG Jean’s (yes it has that apostrophe on purpose) from 100% cotton. Tagged size 28, shown on a size 6 mannequin but they are pinned to fit, more of an 8 or possibly small 10. Waist 78cm (30.5 inches) - but this sits approx 8cm below bellybutton. Hips approx 100cm Front rise 22cm (low rise) Length from waist to hem 27cm Inner leg length 5.5cm Excellent condition
