Hi, 30cm is from the left seam to the right seam at the base. The top width is 28.5cm from seam to seam. The zip extends well beyond the seams, so your laptop will definitely fit in. However, depending on its height, you might not be able to zip it up while maintaining the bag’s shape. Hope this makes sense.
