Contrast Surmise Dress Midnight/Black

Hi Louise. Absolutely, just a simple slip is perfect. I wore a black slip to the knee, showing off the sequin detail from the knee down. You could wear a longer slip though but personally I'd keep it to a dark colour. I wore this once to a work Xmas party in the summer. Because there is enough detail in the dress itself, I kept it simple & teamed it up with statement earrings, a small evening bag and heel sandals only. I wore the solid fabric to the front - the neckline sits higher so I don't think it needs anything eg necklace. If you wear the sparkle to the front, the neckline isn't as high but it still doesn't need anything because of the detail, personally I think it would be too busy with an accessories. It would also be great in winter - heeled boots with a fitted black top underneath. You could also belt it with something like a leather shoestring belt (as an example). Hope that helps.
